Gary "Bubba" Gibson, considered by many to be one of the top electric Blues guitarist in the midwest was born a
"son of the Blues." Gibson got his first guitar and played his first gig when he was 13 and hasn't put it down for
41 years.
Before putting his own band together, Gary played with Riff Raff, Fat Chance, Lustere King, The Runaways, Jim Schwall,
Harmonica Slim and the Works, Ernie Peniston, Hawkeye Herman, and Sarah Greene; also sharing the stage with Bob Door's Blue
Band, The Buzz, Magic Dick and J. Geils, Tab Benoit, E.C. Scott and Louisiana Red.
Gary and his band have opened for Dickey Betts, Chris Smither, Anthony Gomes, The Kinsey Report, Lonnie Brooks, Larry
McCray, Savoy Brown with Kim Simmons, and at Chicago's House of Blues for the Radiators. Gary has performed the regional festival
circuit playing the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, Mid Mississippi Muddy Water Blues Festival, Snake River Blues Festival,
Court Avenue Blues Festival, Hero Street Festival, the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Street Festival, the Sigourney Blues Festival
and the Prairie Dog Blues Festival.
